How do I cast on Roku?

We support casting to Roku from Google Chrome browser on Windows and Mac. Casting is not supported on Safari and iOS devices(iPhone/iPad).


Casting to Roku from Windows laptop:

Ensure your Roku device and laptop are connected to the same network.
On your Windows laptop, go to Settings > Display.
Under the Multiple displays option, choose Connect to wireless display .
Select your Roku device from the list.
A pop-up is displayed on your TV. Click Allow to enable the casting.

Ensure hardware acceleration is disabled on your Chrome Browser.

To disable hardware acceleration:
Click the kebab menu or the three dots on the top right corner of your Chrome browser.
Click Settings.
Click System.
Disable the option Use hardware acceleration when available
Click the Relaunch option that is displayed.


Casting to Roku from Mac:

Ensure your Roku device and the laptop are connected to the same network.
On your Roku device, go to Settings, select Apple AirPlay and HomeKit.
Set the Airplay option to On.
On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Displays.
Click the Add Display drop-down and select your Roku device from the list.
